Work progressively to strengthen the legs, the hips, and the back for Laghuvajrasana. Start off with two blocks, Beninese, reach back towards the angles, and lightly touched the head to the blocks. Avoid thinking “up” when it’s time to come up. Instead send the pelvis forward into the strength of the legs. Avoid pulling with the arms when it’s time to come back up. Instead push firmly down into the heels of the hands and let that strength help. You travel forward with the entire body. once the movement feels comfortable on two blocks, try with one block, and finally try without any blocks. Don’t be alarmed if this takes a few years of practice. Expect your legs to be burning throughout the entire movement and quite sore after. Which variation is for you?
