There’s something about this last shrimp curry class that felt extra special 🤍 Welcoming 8 locals into my home will always be an honor… but this time, it felt like more than just a class. It felt like a hug. From the moment they walked in, to sharing cha and stories, to watching strangers slowly soften into laughter and connection… this is exactly why I do what I do. The shrimp curry was a hit, yes… but the conversations over homemade pistachio tiramisu? It wasn’t just delicious; it felt like sweetness was overflowing from every single moment at the table. And this is what I always say… my guests are the real secret ingredient. This time, I had the honor of hosting someone from Palestine, a beautiful soul who cooks homemade Middle Eastern meals, gathers over 150 people around her table, and shares a message of peace through the community. It felt like a gentle reminder that kindness doesn’t recognize borders, and food… it quietly builds bridges in places where words sometimes fall short. This is what Shuraya’s Kitchen is about. Not just food… but connection. Not just recipes… but stories. Not just a meal… but a space where different backgrounds come together and feel at home. I am so grateful for moments like these, and I can’t wait to continue creating more bridges, one table, one dish, one story at a time. 60 events for far and counting!
