Imagine waking up as the sanctuary still sleeps, before the sun, before most people on the island, to witness the sunrise over beautiful Mt Batur volcano. It’s an unforgettable memory you may choose to experience whilst with us at Bliss. Wrapped in the stillness of the night, your driver picks you up from the Sanctuary and takes you to the base of the mountain. There’s something a little mysterious about the journey, moving through the quiet darkness, like you’re part of something special unfolding. Mount Batur is actually an active volcano in Bali (don’t worry, it’s safe to hike), and it’s deeply sacred to the Balinese people. Sitting beside a serene crater lake, it holds a quiet, powerful energy something you can truly feel in its presence. As you are guided step by step up the mountain, you're under a sky full of stars. It’s slow, a little challenging, but beautifully grounding, like you’re fully present with every step. A touch of adventure, your heart gently racing and then, you reach the top. The sky starts to change with soft pinks, golds, sunrise slowly rising over the mountain with clouds sitting below you like a dream. It’s not just beautiful, it feels emotional, it’s a moment that will stay with you. If you feel the pull to do this while you’re at Bliss, just say the word. Your hostess will organise the tour for you. We will even arrange little snacks for the journey so you feel cared for every step of the way. Much Love 🧡 T. x ... ✨ Bliss Tip: If you feel called to experience Mount Batur, bring some comfortable walking shoes and a light jacket as it can be quite cool before sunrise. The trek is guided by a local tour company, so you’ll be safely looked after the whole way, and your lovely Bliss hostess can arrange a Bliss driver to bring you home again getting you back to the sanctuary a little quicker to slip back into Bliss life. And when you return a warm wellness bath, something nourishing to eat for your return to the sanctuary, and perhaps a massage awaits you 🤍 #BlissSanctuaryForWomenBali #MtBaturSunriseTrek #SoloWomenTravelBali

Yoga as an act of devotion 🤍 Since returning home from my retreat and the beautiful island of mama Bali, I’ve been very introspective and reflective. The stark reality of London always slaps me in the face when I arrive back - the closed off bodies of people moving through life with their heads down and headphones in, staring at their phones or the ground, rushing from one place to the next, no interest in locking eyes with another person and offering a smile. the people of Bali inspired me. It was my fourth time visiting this island, including a short period of my life where I lived there, but this time was different - I was different. I noticed the openness of Balinese people. Their kind and devotional nature. Taking conscious moments out of their daily life to be present and to offer blessings to their homes and communities. Their smiles and bows of the head as you pass in the street offering an unspoken word of ‘i see you and I acknowledge your existence’. Worlds shared and energy offered. This has got me thinking about the way that we practice and live yoga. For so many people, yoga is simply the postures and the transitions that we do on a yoga mat, but it is so much more than that. My darling Alyssa shared the term ‘yoga as an act of devotion’ in a testimonial she wrote for us, and this is something that I truly wish for all to embody. More than what you do on the mat, yoga is a way of living. How can we embody the compassion that’s at the heart of Bhakti yoga and offer that back out to our communities. Long share continued in comments 🤍 #yogateacher #yogainspiration #yogalove #devotion #yogicteachings

Do you know what the Udeng is? It’s the headdress Balinese masters wear during prayer and ceremony. A symbol of focus, respect and connection with the sacred. There is something about slowing down… when the noise fades and you begin to hear yourself again. Here, I don’t feel the need to rush. Or to prove anything. The river flows, the wind touches my skin, and I remember life isn’t about force. A woman is not a straight line. She is a rhythm. A cycle. A quiet unfolding. Freedom is being fully inside your own life. —————— Clothes and accessories @samadhiliving Photo @aetheria_photo Muse, style, producer @mikalimiraertuganova —————— #feminineenergy #flow #womansjourney #softpower #innerfreedom
