I had the privilege of attending “Time with a Politician”, organized by the Department of Political Science at the University of Ghana in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The event featured insightful contributions from: Kwabena Donkor (Former Power Minister & MP) Prof. Isaac Owusu Mensah (Head of Department) Anna Wasserfall (Country Director, KAS) Kwame Asah-Asante (Senior Lecturer & Moderator) David Quaye (Master of Ceremony) Held at the Kofi Drah Conference Room, the discussion provided valuable insights into governance, leadership, and practical political engagement. It was an enriching experience to listen to seasoned professionals share their perspectives on policy, public service, and democratic development. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and engage. #Leadership #PoliticalScience #Governance #UniversityOfGhana #ProfessionalDevelopment

For decades, Africa has been invited to global tables where the talk was endless, the applause loud, and the outcomes painfully thin. Dialogues were held. Declarations were signed. Photos were taken. Then reality returned—unchanged. That pattern is exactly what the International Forum for Peace & Diplomacy (IFPD) set out to disrupt. IFPD operates on a simple but radical idea: conversation is useless without implementation. So instead of stopping at panels and polite statements, the forum pushes dialogue all the way into policy, community action, and measurable impact across the continent. What makes IFPD different is not just who it brings into the room, but how the room is designed. Policymakers don’t dominate. Diplomats don’t dictate. Youth leaders aren’t decorative. Civil society isn’t sidelined. Community stakeholders are not afterthoughts. Everyone participates. Everyone shapes outcomes. By intentionally amplifying African voices, IFPD creates inclusive platforms where solutions are built from African realities, not imported theories. The challenges discussed—conflict, governance, diplomacy, youth inclusion—are approached with lived experience, local knowledge, and shared responsibility. This is how peace becomes practical. This is how diplomacy moves beyond speeches. This is how Africa stops being discussed and starts deciding. In a world that often treats Africa as a subject to be managed, IFPD insists on something deeper: Africa as an author of its own future. And that shift—from dialogue to implementation—is where real transformation begins. The question is no longer whether Africa has ideas. The question is whether the world is ready to respect African-led solutions. @ifpd_official

CFAC Special Departments were established to deliberately and strategically engage with global and continental priority frameworks, ensuring that Africa is not a passive recipient of agendas designed elsewhere, but an active shaper of its own future. These departments are structured to directly interface with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Africa Agenda 2063, translating high-level commitments into African-led thinking, action, and accountability. Their role is not symbolic. It is operational, analytical, and forward-looking. By aligning closely with these frameworks, CFAC positions itself at the intersection of policy, people, and practice. Global goals are interrogated through African realities—youth demographics, resource governance, climate vulnerability, education gaps, digital transformation, food systems, and institutional capacity. Continental aspirations are treated not as declarations, but as responsibilities that demand ownership and implementation. At the core of this approach is a clear principle: Africa must think for itself, plan for itself, and act for itself. International frameworks are tools, not instructions. They are useful only when adapted to African contexts and driven by African leadership. CFAC Special Departments therefore exist to safeguard coherence, relevance, and sovereignty in development thinking. They ensure that Africa’s priorities remain central, that African voices shape global conversations, and that continental ambitions are defended with intellectual clarity and practical action. We are Africans and Africa is our business
