Boston Dynamics unveiled a video at CES 2026 showing its Atlas humanoid robot executing a backflip with recovery after a stumble.
The demonstration prompted comparisons to Unitree humanoid robots, which have previously demonstrated similar backflips.
Although as seen in the clip, the Chinese and American humanoid robots both did the same backflip. However, Boston Dynamics, Atlas still needs improvements to catch up with it's balance.
