Breaking News : Shroud of Turin DNA Shock — Indian Origins Detected in Holy Relic Study A groundbreaking DNA study from Italy’s University of Padova has uncovered unexpected genetic evidence within the Shroud of Turin. Researchers found that nearly 40% of the human mitochondrial DNA traces on the cloth show links to India, alongside DNA from Europe, the Near East, and various biological sources. This discovery suggests the possibility that the linen originated from ancient India and may have traveled through Roman trade routes before reaching Europe. However, scientists caution that centuries of handling have contaminated the cloth, making it impossible to identify a single original source. The Shroud of Turin, long believed by some to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, has faced ongoing debate, especially after carbon dating placed it in the medieval era. This new preprint study adds another layer to the mystery without providing definitive answers. Is the shroud ancient? Medieval? Or something else entirely? Watch as we break down the latest findings and what they mean for one of history’s most controversial religious artifacts. "Is Jesus Christ Linked to India? Real Truth Behind the Shroud of Turin's new facts" The internet is exploding with viral claims that the Shroud of Turin—long believed by millions to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ—actually has DNA links to the Indian subcontinent. Today on Knowledge Republic, we break down the viral headlines and expose the actual science behind the University of Padova's massive genetic study. Did this legendary linen cloth really originate near the ancient Indus Valley, or is there a massive scientific catch that everyone is completely ignoring? We explore the extreme DNA contamination of the world's most debated historical artifact, revealing how centuries of Silk Road trade, traveling merchants, and pilgrims left a global genetic footprint on the shroud. A new DNA study has added a fresh twist to the mystery of the Shroud of Turin, widely believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. Researchers from the University of Padova found that nearly 40% of the human DNA on the cloth traces back to Indian lineages, raising the possibility that the fabric or yarn may have originated from the ancient Indus Valley. The analysis also revealed traces of diverse human, animal, and environmental DNA, suggesting the cloth was handled by many individuals over centuries, making it difficult to identify any original genetic source. First recorded in France in 1354, the shroud is now preserved at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, where it continues to draw global attention and debate. A new genetic study has reignited debate around the Shroud of Turin 🤯 Researchers from the University of Padova, Italy, re‑analyzed DNA collected from the linen in 1978 — and found nearly 40% of the human traces linked to Indian lineages. The findings suggest the cloth itself may have originated from the Indus Valley region, pointing to ancient textile trade routes between India and the Mediterranean. But experts caution: this is not “Jesus’s DNA.” The traces reflect centuries of handling, contamination, and cultural journeys. Still, the idea that one of history’s most mysterious relics could carry an Indian connection is fascinating — blending faith, science, and global history. 🚨 Credit :-@noww.india #ShroudOfTurin #DNAStudy #IndiaConnection #History #Science Faith

宗祠 (Zongci) ancestral shrines. Zheng is Chang usually. It is also Cheng, Cheang, Chiang, Tay etc. In other words what you say alphabetically or in English is not the real word it is just a sound coming out of your face. Ask all the Chinese I met who couldn't help me without the actual "spelling," i.e. character. This: 鄭 I was lucky to find my grandmas line. I am still texting with them and introducing them to family.  Though I wasn't able to find any direct links to my great great grandfather in his village I got connected to 鄭 Jusou, the first 鄭  in Sanxiang, Guandong. Sanxiang is the city where my great grandfather's village of Pinglam is. If I were to guesstimate it I am somewhere within the 28 to 32 generations from him. My friend Jamie 鄭 who kindly let me join her on this trip was somewhere in this guesstimation. Because he was the first 鄭 in this city there is a a beautiful  monument to 鄭 Jusou. I also got to visit the 宗祠 Zongci, ancestral shrine to the 鄭 family in Oo Syak village where Jamie's family is from. The people of these areas are all connected which means Jamie is likely some kind of family to me way back. If your last name is 鄭 and you are in Hawaii I imagine you are quite likely connected to  鄭 Jusou at some point because some 70% of the Chinese in Hawaii came from this region.  You heard it here first cousin. This also aligns with a DNA study I did which says a good percentage of my Chinese side is from this region and the other good portion from Henan which is more north and central. 鄭 is supposedly connected to the Yellow Emperor who was the nation's leader around when Chinesr "history" began. He created a state of 鄭 in the area called Henan today. Those people became 鄭 and many journeyed south due to war etc. Then there is a smaller percentage that says I have Dai, or Tai Lue ancestors, a Chinese ethnic minority from Yunnan province. My ancestors there eventually moved to the areas around Burma, Thailand and Cambodia. Bumbai I learn.

The process of making a protein from DNA is called gene expression. It happens in two main steps: 1. Transcription – The DNA sequence of a gene is copied into mRNA inside the nucleus. 2. Translation – The mRNA travels to the ribosome, where its code is read and assembled into a chain of amino acids, forming a protein. This flow of information is often called the central dogma of molecular biology. • Follow - @explained_science • #instagram #study #studygram #education #student

😀 The more technology there is, the more history changes, and there is much more to discover! Interesting Facts! Ice Age Connection: The DNA study revealed a unique Blackfeet lineage that diverged from other Indigenous populations around 18,000 years ago. This timing corresponds with the Ice Age migrations into North America. Deep Roots: The findings provide strong scientific backing for the Blackfeet’s long-held oral traditions, demonstrating their deep and continuous connection to their traditional lands. This scientific validation provides cultural justice and reinforces the idea that oral histories often hold profound truths that science eventually catches up to.
