Real footage. July 26, 1971. 🚀🌕 Apollo 15 lifts off from Kennedy Space Center — 6.5 million pounds of thrust pushing David Scott, Alfred Worden, and James Irwin toward the Moon. Fun fact — this was the first Apollo mission to carry the Lunar Roving Vehicle. For the first time ever, astronauts would drive on the Moon. 12 minutes after this launch, they were in orbit. Four days later — on the Moon. #Apollo15 #NASA #MoonLanding #SpaceHistory #LunarRover

The Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) was an electric vehicle designed to operate in the low-gravity vacuum of the Moon and to be capable of traversing the lunar surface, allowing the Apollo astronauts to extend the range of their surface extravehicular activities. Three LRVs were driven on the Moon, one on Apollo 15 by astronauts David Scott and Jim Irwin, one on Apollo 16 by John Young (the one driving in this video) and Charles Duke, and one on Apollo 17 by Gene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt. Each LRV was carried to the Moon folded up in the Lunar Module's Quadrant 1 Bay. After being unpacked, each was driven an average of 30 km, without major incidents. These three LRVs remain on the Moon 🌙 Dive into the cosmos with us! 🚀✨ Follow @spaceeves for daily space wonders, celestial snapshots, and the latest cosmic discoveries. During the Apollo 15 mission in 1971, astronaut David Scott performed an experiment on the moon that replicated Galileo's well-known hammer and feather drop experiment. Galileo had previously concluded that all objects fall at the same speed, regardless of their mass. However, on Earth, objects can experience resistance from the air, which can cause lighter objects, such as feathers, to fall more slowly. Since the moon has no atmosphere, the experiment on the moon was conducted to test Galileo's conclusion in a vacuum, where all objects should theoretically fall at the same speed. . . T+417 (10.17.24): Experiment (2) – Galileo's Fall Experiment Until Galileo, a 16th-century astronomer, people believed that the speed at which an object fell depended on its mass—specifically, that heavier objects always fell faster than lighter ones. However, in the 1600s, Galileo proposed that if air resistance were negligible, objects of different masses would fall at the same rate. In this experiment, I have two objects inside the depressed vacuum chamber: a piece of mylar (the stuff from helium balloons) and a Teflon block. Under normal atmospheric conditions, the Teflon block would fall faster than the mylar. However, in a vacuum, when both objects are dropped from the same height, they hit the ground simultaneously. Why? This happens because, in normal atmospheric conditions, air molecules create resistance, and lighter objects like feathers experience more drag relative to their weight, slowing their fall. In a vacuum, with no air molecules to cause resistance, all objects accelerate equally due to gravity. Astronaut David Scott demonstrated this principle during Apollo 15 when he dropped a hammer and a feather on the Moon, and both struck the lunar surface at the same time.

🌀 Gravity Doesn’t Care About Weight — It Pulls on Everything the Same. If you dropped a hammer and a feather on the Moon, what would happen? They’d hit the ground at the same time. Why? Because gravity doesn’t care how heavy something is — only how much mass it has, and whether anything gets in the way (like air). 🌕 In fact, this was proven in 1971 by astronaut David Scott during the Apollo 15 mission. On the airless Moon, a hammer and feather fell together — perfectly. 🧠 It’s one of the most mind-blowing truths of physics: > In a vacuum, everything falls at the same rate — no matter its weight. Einstein later took this further with the equivalence principle in General Relativity — showing that gravity and acceleration are fundamentally linked. 💡 So next time you drop something, remember: You’re witnessing a law of the universe in action — one that doesn’t play favorites. — 📚 Sources: – NASA Apollo 15 Moon Experiment – Galileo’s Tower of Pisa thought experiment – Einstein’s Equivalence Principle — #InfiniteMind #GravityExplained #PhysicsFacts #Einstein #GeneralRelativity #Galileo #Apollo15 #FeatherAndHammer #ScienceIsBeautiful #HiddenLawsOfNature #BrianCoxStyle #StayCurious #universe #science #gravity

Here’s what we’re told…… The United States first landed on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission, which took place from July 16 to July 24, 1969. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the lunar surface on July 20, 1969. Apollo 11 Mission Overview: Launch Date: July 16, 1969 Landing Date: July 20, 1969 Key Events: Neil Armstrong stepped onto the lunar surface on July 21, 1969, at 02:56 UTC. Duration of Mission: The Apollo 11 mission lasted from July 16 to July 24, 1969. Subsequent Moon Landings The United States conducted a total of six crewed moon landings from 1969 to 1972. Here are the missions: ☑️Apollo 11 July 20, 1969 Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin ☑️Apollo 12 November 19, 1969 Charles “Pete” Conrad, Alan Bean ☑️Apollo 14 February 5, 1971 Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell ☑️Apollo 15 July 30, 1971 David Scott, James Irwin ☑️Apollo 16 April 21, 1972 John Young, Charles Duke ☑️Apollo 17 December 11, 1972 Eugene Cernan, Harrison Schmitt ☑️The last crewed mission to the Moon was Apollo 17, which took place in December 1972. They say there have been NO MOON LANDINGS SINCE THE 70’S due to…. several interrelated factors, including shifts in priorities, budget constraints, and changing technological landscapes.🤣😂🤦🏽‍♀️🇺🇸 #Apollo11Lies #MoonLandingUntruths WeNeverWent TheyLied #AllLies StillLying #StanleyCooper

Jul. 16, 1969: Neil Alden Armstrong (August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012) was an American astronaut and aeronautical engineer, and the first person to walk on the Moon. He was also a naval aviator, test pilot, and university professor. Armstrong joined the NASA Astronaut Corps in the second group, which was selected in 1962. He made his first spaceflight as command pilot of Gemini 8 in March 1966, becoming NASA's first civilian astronaut to fly in space. During this mission with pilot David Scott, he performed the first docking of two spacecraft; the mission was aborted after Armstrong used some of his re-entry control fuel to stabilize a dangerous roll caused by a stuck thruster. During training for Armstrong's second and last spaceflight as commander of Apollo 11, he had to eject from the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle moments before a crash. On July 20, 1969, Armstrong and Apollo 11 Lunar Module (LM) pilot Buzz Aldrin became the first people to land on the Moon. #NASA sent 12 #Gemini missions into #space. From 1965 to 1966, Gemini flew two uncrewed test flights and ten crewed missions. Gemini bridged the gap between Project Mercury and Project Apollo. Gemini 1 was the first flight on April 8, 1964. The last flight was Gemini 12 on November 11, 1966. Gemini 4 saw the first American spacewalk. Gemini 6A and 7 included the first crewed rendezvous in space. Gemini 8 first docked a crewed craft with an uncrewed spacecraft. The final mission, Gemini 12, perfected spacewalking techniques. Gemini 1 was a flight test that lasted 4 hours and 50 minutes. After 63 orbits and 1,733,541 miles travelled, Gemini 1 made an uncontrolled reentry 4 days and 4 hours later. Gemini 2 launched and recovered on January 19, 1965. The second spaceflight of the American human spaceflight program lasted 18 minutes 14 seconds. On March 23, 1965, Gus Grissom and John Young flew three low Earth orbits in Gemini 3. James McDivitt and Ed White launched Gemini 4 from Cape Kennedy Launch Complex 19. Gemini 4 orbited the Earth 66 times in four days and successfully executed a 36 minute space walk by Ed White. This followed the March 18, 1965 Soviet spacewalk by Alexei Leonov. On August 26, 1965, Gordo Cooper and "Pete" Conrad in Gemini 5 set the world record for duration previously set by Vostok 5 in 1963. This was the first time an American crewed space mission beat the Soviet Union. On December 15, 1965, Wally Schirra and Thomas P. Stafford in Gemini 6A rendezvoused with the rookie crew of Frank Borman and Jim Lovell in Gemini 7. NASA considers Gemini 8 and 9A partial failures. On March 16, 1966, Neil Armstrong and David Scott in Gemini 8 rendezvoused with the Agena. During a radio blackout, the spacecraft malfunctioned that almost resulted in the deaths of the astronauts. Armstrong recovered the craft and re-entered the atmosphere. On June 3, 1966, backup astronauts Thomas P. Stafford and Eugene Cernan piloted Gemini 9A. NASA intended to execute a rendezvous, docking and a space walk. The docking failed and the space walk aborted after 2 hours of stress, fatigue, and overheating. Gemini 10 flown on July 18, 1966 was a great succe
