Ever been to this haunted locations in BC? 👻 👋🏽 Hi, I'm Anu and I share hidden gems and experiences, iteniraries, scenic adventures and beautiful destinations from my travels in Canada. 👉🏽 Follow @anupriya_t_ for more lesser known places! While driving from Kamloops to Vancouver, we stopped at this abandoned place called Padova City now. 📍This was originally known as Tranquill Sanitorium. Built in 1907 as a hospital for tuberculosis patients it later converted into a Sanitorium. It has been abandoned and derelict now for decades. There is a whole town built around the hospital building including residences, cafeteria, school, farmland etc that now remains abandoned. The most interesting part of this place is the 2km long underground tunnel network. Many people have reported hearing voices and seeing apparitions down there. ‼️Note that this is now a private property and you can not enter without permission. I do believe that they hold tours of the tunnels and escape rooms around halloween. Be mindful of the land and its history when visiting. Save this for a hike you have to do at least once in your life 😍 we did this in July last summer, and we can’t wait to do it again this year 🙌 Please note - you need a day pass to do this during summer peak times ! Please check the BC parks website for details on this - you cannot do the hike without them and will be stopped at the trailhead ! We turned this into an overnight backpacking trip by booking the campsite at Upper Lake - highly recommend doing this - you need to book it 3 months from the date you want to go and spots fill up FAST 🌲 Follow us @hopeandlogan for all the best places to see in BC and beyond 🇨🇦 Trail stats: - Joffre Lakes Trail: 6.9km with 478m elevation gain, taking around 3 hours. ❗️TOP TIP: You can extend this hike, like we did, to go to the campground and the up the hill above it - it’s 11.6km and 948m elevation. The views are so worth the grind, you can see all 3 lakes from the top! This is called the Joffre 3 Lakes and Hill Trail. We started the hike at around 6:30am, and light was just creeping over middle lake when we got up to it 😍 #joffrelakes #britishcolumbia #explorebc #hikebc #travelcanada destinationcanada

Kinsol Trestle - Walk across the icon of Cowichan. One of the largest wooden trestles in the world! 2. The Raptors - An interactive wildlife center dedicated to birds of prey. Don’t miss their daily flying demonstrations at 11am and 1:30pm! @islandraptors 3. Hike to Heart Lake - A moderate, 6.1 km out & back trail is a steady climb up to a quiet, peaceful lake that overlooks Ladysmith. 4. Malahat Skywalk - One of the best attractions in BC! Climb up a 10 story spiral tower to panoramic views of the Saanich Inlet. For the full experience, make sure to slide back down 😆 @malahatskywalk 5. Unsworth Vineyards - You must visit a winery while you’re in Cowichan. Unsworth has a gorgeous new tasting room and it’s the perfect place to start your winery tour. @unsworthvineyards 6.
