OFHonestly I never thought being a rapper was possible for me because growing up I never saw a female rapper that I related to. I’ve always had a passion for writing raps but I would watch music videos (that my dad tried to block me from watching) and be like “oh yeah I can give this up” 🤣😂 so I immediately gave up on that dream. But it wasn’t until my adult years when I realized wait i can still rap and share my art with the world without having to do anything I’m uncomfortable with. Thankfully we have social media and I could really do this all independently. I just really hope there becomes a time where there’s more representation and diversity when it comes to women in the industry. That way our younger girls aren’t programmed into thinking there’s ONLY one way to make it… also, HUGE SHOUTOUT to @brandmansean and @kohreydasavior over at the @nolabelsnecessary podcast! Thank you for the interview and for all the amazing content y’all provide for indie artists!🔥
