MI👁 After over 15 years performing vision correction surgery, here's what I wish more people heard before they came to see me:
1. Waiting "until it gets worse" is not a strategy. Your vision won't improve on its own. And every year you delay, your eyes are changing, sometimes in ways that narrow your options. The best time to explore your options was years ago. The second best time is now.
2. Being told you're "not a candidate" by one surgeon doesn't mean you're not a candidate at all. It means that surgeon didn't have the right procedure for you. ZEISS SMILE, EVO ICL, PRK, Refractive Lens Exchange, if you were only evaluated for LASIK, you were only given part of the picture.
3. Choosing the cheapest option is the most expensive mistake you can make. Your eyes are the only pair you get. The surgeon's experience, the technology in the room, and the range of procedures available to you directly impact your outcome. This is not where you cut corners.
4. Contacts are not a long-term plan. They're a temporary fix that you've turned into a lifestyle. The infections, the dryness, the inconvenience, you've just normalized it. You don't have to.
5. Fear is valid, but it's not a reason to settle. I understand the anxiety. Every patient I've treated has felt it. But the patients who moved forward will all tell you the same thing: "I wish I'd done it sooner."
Your vision touches everything, your confidence, your mornings, your independence, your freedom. You deserve to stop managing it and start living with it.

Minęły 442 dni od mojej laserowej korekty wzroku. Tak się czuję codziennie. Spanikkowana co będzie dalej. Klinika z rozwiązaniami się nie spieszy, muszę błagać ich o attencję, a ja już 15 miesięcy widzę podwójnie i mam zamazany wzrok na lewe oko. Nie mogę pracować więcej niż kilka godzin i mam ciągle migreny. Rozpadam się psychicznie i fizycznie.
