DEMany people with disabilities are at risk of experiencing life passively, so for goodness sake let it be their team and you're just helping out 😊. It's an easy win and encourages ownership and autonomy.
Volunteer to be in their team. Let them know someone wants to be with them instead of having to be assigned.
It's ok if you have no idea what you're doing, some of the funnest memories can be when people are just making it up together.
A lot of people get stuck at the "I wouldn't know how to" phase, so if you just ignore those worries and figure it out as you go, you'll start making a rare connection that will change both your lives!
If you have a disability and can't consistently play games, you're not alone. Becca's body isn't up for active game playing all the time, but having a teammate who keeps her in the loop let's her be part or sometimes just have something to root for when that's all she's up for. Your can find ways to have a good time with whatever level your current self is up for.
Oh, and if you're not a game person there's nothing wrong with that. You just might want to find a different house than ours for Sunday nights 😁.
