I love seeing all the Press Handstand challenges lately! I’ve gotten a lot of requests for drills so I put together 3 BASIC Press to Handstand exercises that don’t require getting inverted: 1️⃣ Press Drags/Jumps: try dragging and lifting feet off ground and finishing with your feet close to hands, emphasizing compression. If lifting isn’t possible, a slight jump is a good starting point. 2️⃣ Press Hip Raise: starting in an L-Sit, stay compressed (legs into chest) and lift hips as high as possible with control.  Hold peak position for 3-5 sec before returning back to L-Sit. Try these 3 variations. Slowly work towards the 3rd variation over time. If no high paralletes available chairs/stools work great. 3️⃣ Jefferson Curl—>Overhead Press: this press is a combo of great compression and shoulder/planching strength.
