While carefully adjusting a jacket fresh from its second fitting, still lightly basted, he tells me he’s refining “the lower side,” spotted during the fitting, and is now reshaping the shoulder. Once done, the jacket will pass to the tailor who will set the shoulders and then the sleeves.
