The math behind your vertical jump! I thought this would be a cool visual way to break down how you’d use max touch to measure a vertical jump on a vertec. I definitely could have gotten an inch or two more, but warming up in a gym with the A/C pumping is no where near as good as warming up with a quick run, but nevertheless, I was fine with a 35” jump today, especially because I’ve got a bruised rib and the extension and landing were starting to get painful 🤕 #basketball #verticaljump #dunk

This week I witnessed a human fly! @tyy2.0 I calculated his flight time at exactly 1 second, which is the highest I’ve personally tested. He touched 11’4.5 on the vertec with standing reach of 85. After re-measuring the vertec it came back half an inch lower so his official touch was 11’4. Standing reach was performed with a full tilt. If measured by NBA combine standards with flat shoulder it probably would have been a 53 inch vert 👀. His first time testing with me he hit a 49 on the same vertec with the same standing reach. Crazy that he’s still improving! Probably has even more untapped potential.
