So I recently picked up a Canon AE-1 from Marketplace for $200 and got a steal! The man I bought it from was recently retired and bought it in college, but he got frustrated with it early on and just put it away…
Fast forward 30 years later, I’m buying it from him at North Park Mall 😂 he asked if I wasn’t into cameras or if I knew anything about film. To which I replied, “very little, but I’m up for a challenge.” I was so stocked to get this thing that I bought film before even picking it up haha! 🤣
Anywho, on to the next level of creativity in a new format! 🫡

JOThis is my Canon AF35MII Sureshot that was gifted to me by a family member. This camera was released in 1983 and has a bulit in 38mm f/2.8 lens with a pop up flash on the corner. This Vintage piece of equipment requires a roll of 35mm film and 2 AA batteries. Something interesting about this specific camera is the red dust all around it is from a Corvette Stingray that was repainted in the garage where this was stored for years and years. #canon #vintagecamera #filmcamera #canonaf35mii #nikonphotography

FIJust landed in the shop: Canon AF35M.
One of the cameras that helped kick off the autofocus point-and-shoot era. When it launched, it was the world’s first lens-shutter 35mm autofocus camera, using a triangulation system with a near-infrared emitting diode to lock focus.
What people still love about it today is the fixed 38mm f/2.8 lens. Sharp, simple, and fast enough for everyday shooting without overthinking it. Load a roll, aim, and shoot.
This is the kind of camera that reminds you why point-and-shoot film photography took off in the first place.
