➡️Comment “GUIDE” for my free pdf glute guide!! Cable kickback form ❌ Let’s fix it! Often times I hear people say they get low back pain from kickbacks and it’s usually due to arching the low back as you kick back. To fix this, make sure you’re keeping a neutral spine and slightly leaning. I prefer to keep a more upright torso position as oppose to leaning over completely. Bring your working leg in front of your standing leg to lengthen the glute a bit more. Don’t kick up so high to where you end up arching your low back. You only need to kick up to when the glute is fully shortened. You can either kick straight back or on an angle. Angled = more glute medius. Straight back = more glute max. But there will always be overlap with the cables in terms of what you’re targeting! Hope this helps!

Your hips are quietly wrecking your core & pelvic floor… so start doing these 4 moves 👇 Tight hips don’t just “feel stiff”—they change how your whole body works. When your hips aren’t moving properly, your body compensates… usually by over-arching through your lower back and switching your core off. That’s when you start to feel: lower back tightness, a weak or disconnected core, and extra pressure through your pelvic floor. These 4 moves help you open the hips, bring your core back online, and take that excess load off your lower back and pelvic floor. It’s not about doing more—it’s about getting your body working properly again. 💬 If your lower back always feels tight, drop a “ME” below Save this so you actually do it later. #athomeworkouts #yogaathome #pelvicfloor #hips #mobility

Think reflux only looks like spitting up? Nope — some of the clearest reflux signs don’t involve spit-up at all 🤯 In fact, MANY reflux babies never spit up… and are mislabelled as “colic” instead. Here are the silent signs you should never ignore: ⚠️ Frequent hiccups ⚠️ Sneezing fits ⚠️ Arching their back during/after feeds ⚠️ Struggling to sleep ⚠️ Uncomfortable lying flat ⚠️ Irritable or unsettled for “no reason” ⚠️ Only happy when held upright These aren’t “quirks”… They’re your baby saying: “Mum, something doesn’t feel right.” Reflux may be common — but that doesn’t make it normal or something you should just “wait out.” There is ALWAYS a reason behind it… and a way to help your baby feel better. 💬 Comment “SUPPORT” if you want guidance on what could be causing your baby’s symptoms and what your next steps could look like. 📩 Make sure you’re following me first so you can get my message — Insta rules 🤷🏼‍♀️ Your baby deserves calm. This is about lines. I teach understanding, not shapes. From kneeling to standing — clarity returns. When the body knows where it belongs, movement stops guessing. Long spine. Quiet strength. No arching. No collapsing. No noise. When you know where the movement is going, execution becomes art. This is the Pilates & Or method. I’m here — guiding, refining, elevating. 💬 Comment “CLARITY” 💾 Save this. Here’s the thing: if your baby is crying, arching their back, and fighting you every step of the way when you try to rock/pat/feed them to sleep… it’s not because they can’t sleep without it. It’s usually because they’ve outgrown that method, and their little body is begging for a different way. When we keep persisting through tears to force a hands on settling method, we end up with more crying, more stress, and less rest for everyone. Sleep doesn’t have to look like this. Babies can learn new, age-appropriate ways to settle that feel calmer, faster, and more sustainable - for them and for you. 🙌🏻 👉🏻 If this sounds familiar, we can guide you through the exact steps in a way that’s gentle, responsive, and effective. DM us the word HELP and we’ll chat about the best next step for your family. 💛 #thesleepteacher #babysleepconsultant

Colic isn’t real. It is what we call prolonged crying once medical causes have been ruled out. But medically fine does not mean comfortable. If your baby is crying for hours, unsettled after feeds, constantly gassy, arching, or hard to settle at night, that is not random. Prolonged crying always has a cause. Before you change formula, book bodywork, or are told to wait it out - start with feeding. In clinic, many babies labelled colic have: • Flow rate mismatch • Air intake from an inefficient latch • Oral tension or disorganisation • Feeding fatigue • Subtle milk transfer issues If feeding mechanics are not working, babies compensate. They swallow air. They overwork. Feeds fragment. They become unsettled. That discomfort gets called colic. If the issue is mechanical, reassurance alone will not fix it. Healthy does not automatically mean settled. Labels do not settle babies. Understanding does.

📣 Is your baby constantly arching and uncomfortable?? Babies can arch their back for a lot of reasons including ⤵️ ✨ Reflux - the arching is often a response to discomfort in the digestive system ✨ Body tension - especially in the back and trunk ✨ Gas or constipation - the arching may be their way of guarding or avoiding pressure on the belly While arching can be normal at times, constant extension keeps the body in a high-alert, fight-or-flight mode. It makes calming harder, tummy time tougher, and can delay rolling or other milestones. That’s why I love this move - it gently brings the baby’s body into flexion, or that curled-up, grounded position and helps: → Stretch tight back muscles → Calm the nervous system by gently rocking → Activates their core muscles → Balance out all that extension → Prep the body for movement (like rolling!) Bonus - it’s soothing and feels great for most babies, especially when done slowly and intentionally. ❤️ Double tap if you’ll try this during play time! • • • Hi! 👋🏼 I’m Dr. Rachael, a real life mama of 2, pediatric PT & infant development expert. This 15-seconds post shows a cat marching forward with full “I run this neighborhood” energy—spotting what it thinks is a tiny puppy in front of the car, arching its back, narrowing its eyes, and preparing for a dramatic ambush… only for reality to hit mid-jump when it realizes the “small puppy” is actually a massive dog staring right back at it. The micro-moments make it pure comedy: the instant mid-air panic, the paws stiffening like a frozen screenshot, the way its confidence collapses into silent existential dread, and that defeated shuffle back onto the car roof where it sits perfectly still like nothing happened, aura completely wiped clean. It’s the rare moment where a cat’s ego gets rebooted in real time, already pushing the clip past 10.8M views and 742K likes in under 48 hours as viewers replay the exact frame its soul leaves its body. Reflux is the backflow of stomach acid from the stomach, which irritates the throat and pharynx. Babies can experience reflux with or without spitting up. When there’s no significant spitting up, it’s referred to as “silent reflux.” This means the acid comes up but doesn’t leave the baby’s mouth, making it harder to detect. Signs of Silent Reflux (SR): • A wet/gurgling sound from the throat. • Crying and showing discomfort when lying flat; prefers sleeping slightly upright. • Appears restless and uncomfortable - sometimes inconsolable. • Tendency for backward arching movements (arching the back like a bow). • Frequently has spit bubbles and hiccups. • Difficulty breastfeeding, often pulling away from the breast. What Can You Do? There isn’t conclusive research on what definitively helps SR, but it’s hard not to take action when your baby is struggling. Below are suggestions many parents find effective, allowing you to decide what works best for your baby: 🔸 Avoid cow’s milk protein. If breastfeeding, eliminate dairy from your diet. If bottle-feeding, try switching to a hydrolyzed formula. 🔸 Raise the head of the crib so your baby lies at a slight incline. A wedge pillow can be helpful. 🔸 Keep baby upright after feeding, ideally for 20-30 minutes if possible. 🔸 Provide probiotic supplements. 🔸 Assess for tongue-tie. Use the TABBY tool, which is available online, to evaluate. If needed, consult a skilled ENT specialist for further examination. 🔸 Encourage tummy time, even if it’s challenging. A strong and relaxed diaphragm muscle supports better closure of the stomach entrance. The exercise programs parents most often use for reflux are “Develobaby – Back Arching” and “Develobaby - Sleep” This baby is completely okay and was picked up and comforted immediately after these few seconds of video. The parents filmed so their health care provider could better help them. With love, Maria ♥️ ❗️ Always consult your health visitor or doctor if your baby is not thriving. ❗️ . . . #flathead #arching #SilentReflux
