BLWhen I was little I was taught to give a little sugar water to bumblebees who look tired. The unseasonably warm weather we’ve had in my neck of the woods is waking up all sorts (bees, turtles, ramps) before they necessarily have everything they need to be successful. These are the wee ones who get hit with the effects of global warming first, the canaries in the coal mine. So keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a being that could use a drink, or a little leaf litter mulch to hide from frost under. I know it doesn’t change things on a global scale (stares at multibillion dollar corporations and their emissions), but I know it mattered for the lil bee, if only for a few minutes 💖 just trying to be the best neighbor I can be
