THBraid like a Viking! The requested tutorial from the very beginning this time before any braiding had been done. Happy braiding, my friends!

🧶 Pattern notes: RS- over 3, under 2. LS- over 4, under 2. 🧶 When trying to figure out how much cord/yarn you need, calculate your desired length and add 30% (I usually only add 20% but 30% gives you more wiggle room).
🧶 Material notes: the clip at the top is a hair clip (it looks different because it is one that was bought at the craft store so I could add to it and make decorative clips for my kiddo). I am using chunky acrylic yarn here as it is what I had in my stash that showed up on camera. YOU can use anything ❤️ chunky wool /cotton/acrylic yarns are lovely. Macrame cords work great.
