We’ve seen the chaos…
Costume designers and wardrobe teams doing cast fittings in production offices, backstage corners, trailers and borrowed rooms — while hauling:
• garment rails
• boxes of hangers
• steamers and pressing kit
• continuity racks
• half the wardrobe kit just to make the space workable
All before the fittings even start.
So we created The Fitting Space (that’s us!).
A wardrobe studio designed for costume designers, stylists and the wider wardrobe department.

IAIan talks about learning on the job and the nature of working in film as a costume buyer- he mostly rolled between two costume designers; Arthur Rowsell and Vicki Graef.
After years of sourcing particular clothing items on request for productions and costume houses, he learned what types of things were going to be valuable for film. So, by the time he was part of the film crew himself, he knew what to look for. He shares some of his tips for being a good shopper!
