No! It has not been shown to induce labor.
Unfortunately there aren’t many high-quality studies that test whether or not RRL has positive impacts on birth. There was one RCT study conducted that didn’t show any statistical difference in labor onset, labor length, or need for interventions between women who took RRL and those who took a placebo.
Does that mean that you should throw out all your raspberry leaf tea?
Not necessarily. It’s fine to drink it in moderation throughout pregnancy as long as your doctor gives you the ok. But don’t count on it making a meaningful difference in your birth.
