Here are some of the spots I always take friends to when they visit...and they’re always surprised by how much there is to discover beyond the capital: 🚂 Visit Fonds de Gras – an old mining site turned open-air museum (yes, there’s a vintage train too). You must stay for lunch/dinner at @bei_der_giedel and enjoy some traditional Luxembourgish food (I recommend the Kniddelen). 🏛️ Attend Echternach's Dancing Procession on every Whit Tuesday. Part of UNESCO's Intangible Heritage of Humanity. 🍽️ Attend a Dëppefest in spring or summer - every village has one. Expect pottery, market stalls, music, and a lot of good local food. 🇪🇺 Visit the European institutions in Kirchberg. Indeed some offer guided tours and open days. Trust me, it's more interesting than it sounds. 🌲 And for something unexpected?
