REGhosting isn't just rude. It's traumatic. 🕳️
When you disappear on someone who genuinely cares about you, you don't just end things.
You leave them tethered to you.
Their nervous system can't process an ending that never happened — so it waits. It stays stuck in a loop of "maybe they'll be back." And sometimes you do come back — just long enough to wave your hand before disappearing again. Which makes it worse.
You don't need perfect words. You don't need a long explanation.
"I'm sorry, I just can't" is enough.
Communicate — even if it's messy, even if it's ugly. Because the people who care about you don't stop caring the moment you go silent. All that's left is the hole you dug and abandoned.
That hole is where attachment trauma lives.
