ISThai Red Spiky springtails (Rambutanura sp.) are a large species of terrestrial springtail that primarily feeds on slime mould. Patience is key when dealing with the longer incubation period for eggs and keeping their food (slime mould) alive.

BIWe’ve had great luck growing our springtail colonies! Here’s how:
1. Once a week we open the culture box to circulate the air and make sure they don’t get gassed out!
2. We make sure the bin is about 1/2 way full with lump wood charcoal. This ensures lots of surface area for the springtails to move around and provide plenty of egg laying places.
3. Make sure there is at least 1” of standing water at the bottom of each bin.
4. We only feed the colonies 1x a week with our BioActive Supply Springtail and Isopod Diet. They love the food!
