⚡️Pull Day Routine⚡️- Using only free weights. One of my go to for pull/back day recently. -I’ve found Chain belts are a great multiplier for hitting back when you don’t have access to a normal lat pulldown machine. Feel free to do them unweighted or with assistance if needed as well. -For the alternating gorilla rows and dumbbell curls it should be the specified reps per each side. -The barbell curls and dumbbell curls at the end are a great finisher. Hit 5 reps on each, then 4,3,2,1. The barbell should be fairly heavy. This typically takes me about an hour to complete with about 1-2 minutes of rest in between each set. 6 month progress of gorilla rows 🥹💪🏽 Looking at these videos side by side is craaazy. So many things can change when you tune out all the noise and just lock in… and I’m not down yet 🤭 Here are 3 tips I used to improve my gorilla rows & form: 1. Nail Your Stance First - Hinge at the hips, not the lower back, chest slightly forward, not too much though because it puts all the weight on your toes. Try to keep your hips & shoulders square & put your butt down! 2. Engage Core + Lats - Don’t yank the weight up. Instead, relax your shoulders down and back, then row by pulling your elbow to your ribcage. 3. Use Progressive Overload Smartly - Start lighter to master form, then increase dumbbell/kettlebell weight over time. As you can see, I was using 5 pounds initially. It’s okay to use smaller weights and focus on your form BEFORE you increase weight. I’m not a professional or trainer, this is just worked for me. When I started focusing on form is when I finally started seeing results.
