They want you to believe that this is simply coincidental. In Monte Maíz, Argentina, cancer prevalence is 240% higher than national estimates. Around 650 tonnes of glyphosate are used annually in the surrounding area, largely on GMO soy and corn. Families with agricultural work had about 3.5 times higher cancer incidence than non‑farming families. Water, sewage, and waste management had been improved for years, so the investigators argue that classic environmental drivers like poor sanitation or obvious industrial pollution are less likely explanations. Legally, I couldn’t say something like “glyphosate causes cancer.” But this aligns with IARC’s classification of glyphosate as “probably carcinogenic to humans.” Conventional farming communities like Monte Maíz are providing what many view as irrefutable evidence. While shifts from conventional to more regenerative systems require systemic change, the consumer can play a major part in this. When we buy from farmers that don’t buy from Monsanto, it slowly starts the shift. It’s time to Localize.

The speed of this should tell you everything. Monday: Bayer Monsanto settles $7.25B in cancer claims from Roundup exposure. Tuesday: Federal immunity granted and domestic glyphosate production guaranteed. This isn’t incompetence. It’s architecture. A chemical linked to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at regulated doses. On your conventional food. In your water. Earning them billions while they’re protected from accountability. Some people call this normal. We call it the line we won’t cross. Wanted Raw Foods: Never sprayed. Never compromised. Comment ‘box’ for what food sovereignty actually looks like. #decentralized #regenerative #pastureraised #wantedrawfoods #glyphosate

This is happening right now, and it could reshape the future of our food system. ⚠️ An Executive Order prioritizes continued access to glyphosate ⚠️ Bayer is pushing a $7.25 BILLION settlement to limit cancer lawsuits ⚠️ The Farm Bill could block state protections and expand pesticide immunity Let that sink in. Instead of increasing oversight and accountability… We're seeing moves to protect chemical manufacturers from liability. This isn't just about one company or one chemical. It's about whether corporations can avoid responsibility, while the public absorbs the risk. We have a chance to stop this. Fight Pesticide Immunity Write to Congress and oppose these provisions in the Farm Bill Type ANH in the comments and we will send you the link to take action.

☯︎ So, how did our food system become toxin-heavy and nutrient-poor? ☾ It started with the mid-20th century Green Revolution and rise of industrial agriculture — widespread pesticide use, high-yield crops, CAFOs and synthetic fertilizers — all in the name of “feeding the world.” ☹︎ But prioritizing yield over soil health came at a cost. ✧ WWII-derived chemicals like DDT, paraquat, atrazine and glyphosate became embedded in conventional farming. Today, growing research shows a direct link between pesticide exposure and chronic inflammation — cancer, neurodegenerative disease, reproductive dysfunction, etc. ✵ At the same time, these chemicals and disruptive farming techniques degraded our soils. ❊ Healthy soil is alive — microbes, fungi, bacteria — all responsible for building nutrient density in our food. But when the soil biology declines through these practices, so does the nutritional value of what we eat. ✢ Less microbial life = fewer vitamins & minerals, fewer phytonutrients, weaker food. ◉ When we farm against nature, we create a cycle of soil depletion, toxic load and human health decline. But there’s another path. ☼ Regenerative agriculture works with nature — rebuilding soil, restoring biodiversity, increasing nutrient density, and supporting both planetary health and human health. ⚛︎ If you care about clean food, gut health, chronic disease prevention, and the future of our planet — this conversation matters. #regenerativeagriculture #NutrientDensity #soilhealth #foodasmedicine #guthealth

Glyphosate is a perfect example of how narratives can shift—not always based on new science, but often based on changing ideas. For years, the conversation centered around potential health risks, environmental persistence, and consumer exposure. It was framed as something to reduce, regulate, or eliminate. In fact, 11B has been paid out in settlements! Fast forward, and now glyphosate is increasingly discussed through a different lens: agricultural dependence, food supply stability, and even national security. When crop yields, global supply chains, and geopolitical pressures come into play, the same compound starts to look less like a liability—and more like a strategic asset. So what changed? Not the molecule. Not the chemistry. We have no.opinion on what or who is right. We just love to report and laugh at how things change. #Glyphosate #FoodSystem #NutritionTruth #AgPolicy #SupplyChain

🧪 What “desiccation” means Glyphosate is controversial not only because it kills weeds, but because it can be used right before harvest on certain crops to speed dry-down. That timing matters: the closer to harvest a chemical is applied, the more likely residues can remain in food. Here’s the mechanism, what the science says (and doesn’t), and how to think about real-world risk. 📌 Why oats get mentioned so often Oats are frequently processed into: cereal, flour, “healthy” bars, toddler snacks—so exposure can be repeat + concentrated even if residues are low per serving. Risk isn’t only “how high is one test,” but also how often you’re eating the same ingredient. ⚖️ What the health debate actually is There are two separate questions people blend together: Cancer hazard vs. cancer risk: Some agencies focus on whether something can cause cancer under certain conditions (hazard), while regulators often evaluate realistic exposure levels (risk). This is part of why headlines conflict. Glyphosate vs. formulations: Real-world products can include co-formulants (surfactants) that may change toxicity compared to glyphosate alone. Many public arguments don’t separate these. 🧬 Not just “cancer” Research also explores potential links with: • gut microbiome shifts (because glyphosate targets a plant/bacterial pathway) • endocrine and oxidative stress markers • kidney/liver stress in animal models at certain doses These areas are actively debated; evidence quality varies, and humans aren’t rodents—but it’s the reason some people choose to reduce exposure even if regulators say typical levels are within limits. ✅ So what’s the rational takeaway? If you want a low-effort, high-impact approach: 🌾 For crops more associated with desiccation (oats/wheat/barley/legumes), organic tends to reduce the glyphosate pathway. 🔁 Also reduce “monoculture eating”: don’t make oats the base of breakfast and snacks and baking every day. The question is, do we ever really know what is going on? It’s a big question and generally speaking, I find myself scratching my head and asking just that question a lot these days. But what about the stuff we are told by companies we think we can trust, stuff large corporations tell us, stuff we take for granted, stuff apparently based in unbiased science? The facts are the facts, right? Well, it seems that this may not quite be the case. When it comes to pesticides, we are definitely not getting the whole picture. Take Roundup for instance: A foundational study, a study referenced more than any other, a study that for 25 years has stood as testament to the safety of Glyphosate, has been retracted by the respected journal that published it. In retracting the study last month, the journal, ‘Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology’, cited “serious ethical concerns regarding the independence and accountability of the authors.” Martin van den Berg, the journal’s editor in chief, said the paper had based its conclusions largely on unpublished studies by Monsanto. It seems, not only is the data in question but that the “INDEPENDENT” authors of this landmark study were indeed paid by Monsanto, the then owner and manufacturer of Roundup. Not only that but it was Monsanto’s own scientists who actually pulled together much of the information that was published in the paper, and crucially it was unpublished Monsanto trial data which was used to point to the non-carcinogenicity of the chemical, data that has never been seen. This paper was retracted based on the lack of transparency and the conflict of interest that was demonstrated by the authors based on recently uncovered evidence. Whether you believe Glyphosate causes cancer, or whether it is bad for the environment and our health is actually nearly irrelevant here. What is clear is that a massive global corporation actively deceived the public, to sell more of its product, for eye watering financial gain, when the profits are in the order of billions of dollars then this makes this publication and retraction extremely significant and controversial. 👇👇👇 Continued in the comments below 👇 👇👇

Posted by @myhealthforward In response to the agrochemical industry’s push for liability immunity, Thomas Massie, Chellie Pingree, and Ro Khanna introduced the No Immunity for Glyphosate Act. Senator Cory Booker introduced a bill in July 2025 that would supersede any agrochemical liability immunity clauses and create a federal right of action to allow people to hold pesticide producers responsible for causing chronic health conditions like cancer or damaging their crops or property. The leaders are helping to resist Bayer-Monsanto’s liability immunity push for glyphosate and other pesticides. #bayer #glyphosate #health #chemicals #toxic
