Hi, I'm Jo, the founder of Copyhackers 👋 Here's the story of how I made six figures in my first six months as a freelancer 👇 I already had seven years of copywriting experience and had worked on some really cool projects for some really cool companies. Then I quit my job (another story, another time), wrote four ebooks, and posted them to Hacker News, a community I was already active in. The result was over $20,000 in ebook sales in the first three days. My inbox was flooded with opportunities for months, even years. I picked the projects I wanted, with the companies I wanted to help grow. But I didn’t just stumble upon success. I actively participated in a community I cared about. I gave them value and they gave it back to me. As a coach for freelancers, copywriters and teams, I’ve helped many businesses and freelancers grow. I’ve developed Copy School, Freelancing School and run masterminds to share my knowledge and experience. I’ve worked with incredible companies like BT, Canva, Glowforge, Intuit, MetaLab, Prezi, SAP, Sprout Social and VWO. I’ve taught audiences at Mozcon, INBOUND, SearchLove and CXL Live to write copy that converts. Over 70,000 people at early and growth-stage startups, small businesses, huge businesses, international agencies and indie establishments have let me coach their copy forward. All this to say, there’s no one way to freelance. Find your path. Own it. And if you need help along the way (or you want to know the story of how I accidentally quit my full time job), DM me! #CopywritingCommunity #EntrepreneurMindset #Freelancing

Researchers from ETH Zurich just published a paper showing that AI can deanonymize pseudonymous online accounts at scale. Your online privacy is officially gone. Using a pipeline combining Gemini embeddings and GPT-5.2 reasoning, they tested whether AI could match anonymous profiles back to real identities across three experiments. In the first, they took 338 Hacker News accounts, stripped all identifying information, and let an AI agent search the open internet. It correctly identified 67% of users — with 90% precision. That means when it guessed, it was right 9 times out of 10. In the second, they took 987 real LinkedIn profiles and asked AI to find their anonymous Hacker News accounts hidden inside a pool of 89,000 users. It matched the right person 45% of the time at 99% precision. In the third, they split a single Reddit user’s comment history across time — one year gap — and asked AI to recognize the same person in both halves. It succeeded 38% of the time. The cost of running this attack: $1 to $4 per person. The data needed: nothing but your public posts. According to the authors, there is no meaningful protection except not posting online at all — because the very content that makes online communities valuable is the same content that makes you identifiable. This is not a niche security finding. It affects anyone who has ever posted online under a username. Paper: “Large-scale online deanonymization with LLMs” — Lermen, Paleka, Swanson, Aerni, Carlini, Tramèr. ETH Zurich & Anthropic, February 2026. #airesearch #aisafety #aiprivacy

Your AI prompts are already outdated... and you don’t even know it. 🛑 Not because they’re bad. Because they’re built on what worked months ago. And AI moves faster than any guide, course, or thread can keep up with. Someone just open-sourced the fix. One command searches eight platforms at once. Reddit. X. YouTube. TikTok. Hacker News. Polymarket. The actual web. Everything scored by social signal, not SEO. What real people upvote, share, watch, and bet real money on. Three minutes. For free. What used to take two hours. The gap between people using fresh intelligence and people recycling old prompts is about to get very visible. 📩 Save this. . . . #ai #aitools #artificialintelligence #techtok #aihacks

@realabdullahhab
This Jordanian hacked his university’s servers and now runs a billion-dollar AI company. Amjad Masad was failing college because he refused to show up to class. Instead, he spent every night coding in internet cafes, obsessed with one idea: what if you could type code into a browser and run it instantly? No downloads. No setup. Nothing. But the university barred him from exams for skipping too many classes. So Amjad did what any rational computer science student would do. He broke into the university’s basement servers. For two weeks straight, he pulled insane polyphasic sleep cycles — work four hours, sleep fifteen minutes, repeat. He was literally writing on the walls like a madman, hacking deeper into the system. Finally he cracked it. Changed all his failing grades from 35s to 75s and 90s. Then the servers crashed. On his exact record. The university called him in. Instead of lying, he walked into a room full of deans and admitted everything. They were so blown away by the technical complexity that instead of expelling him, the president gave him the Spider-Man speech and let him secure their systems that summer. Fast forward to 2016. Amjad moved to Silicon Valley, worked at Facebook, and turned that browser coding idea into Replit. He emailed Zuckerberg asking if Facebook wanted to buy it. Zuck ignored him. So he quit, sold his stock, put half in Bitcoin, half in the company. He applied to Y Combinator four times. Rejected every time. On the fifth attempt, he was so frustrated that when they asked for the required video, he just pasted a link to “Never Gonna Give You Up.” He literally Rick-rolled Y Combinator. The partners were furious. But his technical work had been going viral on Hacker News. Paul Graham was watching. They accepted him anyway. Today Replit has over 30 million users and is worth over a billion dollars. The same guy who hacked his college grades now lets millions of people build software without knowing how to code.

No funding. No office. No team. Just one developer, one laptop and relentless execution. Bhanu Teja started his career at a well-known food delivery startup. Quit in 8 months. Not because it was hard. Because it wasn't what he wanted to build for the rest of his life. He moved back to his parents' house in a small village to cut costs. Started building. The journey was not linear: → First startup — shut down after 1 year. No traction. → Freelanced 3 months just to survive → Built MDX.one — 30 paying customers. Shut it down. → Rebuilt it as Feather.so — a blogging platform using Notion as CMS Feather grew steadily: → $0 to $1K MRR — 3 months → $1K to $2K — 4.5 months → $2K to $3K — 1 month → $3K to $4K — 3 weeks → Peak: $6K MRR Then in 2023 — while building a feature for Feather — he accidentally built something bigger. SiteGPT (@sitesgpt) — an AI chatbot trained on any website's content. He launched it separately. → Went viral on launch day → #1 on Product Hunt → Front page of Hacker News → $10K MRR in just one month SiteGPT was scaling faster than he could manage both products. So he sold Feather. $250,000. 3.5x ARR. Zero VC funding. Solo built. One of the cleanest bootstrapped exits you'll find. Today: → SiteGPT revenue: $300K+ → Runs it with just one co-founder → Both handle sales, marketing, demos and support themselves → Building two more products simultaneously → Still bootstrapped. Still lean. Still shipping. What makes Bhanu's story different: Most founders wait for funding before they build. Most developers wait for a co-founder before they ship. Most people wait for the perfect moment before they start. Bhanu built with what he had. Where he was. With zero external validation. Small village. Big products. No excuses. That's the only playbook that matters. 👉 Follow @marketing_mirrors for more such stories. #Bootstrapped #IndieHacker #SaaS #BhanuTeja

Blindly automating your social media? That's how you kill your reach. I've seen too many marketers fall for the "fully automated AI social media" promise, only to wonder why their engagement tanked. Here's the truth: AI can generate content ideas, but about half of what it produces is unusable garbage. Without human filtering, you're posting low-quality content that algorithms will punish. When running Authority Hacker News, we had 4-5 team members discussing content positioning because most initial ideas (human OR AI) aren't winners. We generated many options to find the few gems worth pursuing. AI is a brainstorming partner, not a replacement for human judgment. What's your approach to balancing AI automation with human oversight? Have you found the sweet spot?
