When adding zip codes, security numbers, or employee IDs in your spreadsheet , you may have seen that Excel removes any leading zeros in the cell. For example, if you type “007845” in Excel, it will immediately turn it into “7845”. 🤦🏼♂️
This is because Excel automatically treats these values as numbers and tosses the zeros out. 🫠
