ICE BATH ADVICE People flip out on ice baths. Most are VERY scared the first time they do it or panic. So, I thought I’d share some tips. I don’t know if I’m an expert, but i have probably taken over 500 ice baths in my life. Here are some tips based on what works for me: 1. Surrender. Don’t fight it, you won’t win 2. Get in the water fast and go up to your neck. You want to be fully in. Keep hands on thighs for warmth. 3. Deep exhale or YELL on the way in. Then RELAX YOUR SHOULDERS. Don’t fight it in your shoulders. 4. Take slow breaths and think about the benefits you’re getting: anti inflammation, circulation, grit, dopamine release, immunity building, etc. 5. Ease into it. I never do more then 2-3 minutes and I started with :30 seconds. From what i understand you don’t get extra benefits beyond that. Find your grove. And lastly as my friend @drtrishasmith says “Just go along for the ride”!!!

The challenge included ice bathing in the mountains at an air temperature of −18°C, featuring underwater submersions, pouring a bucket of icy water over the head, and “ice sit-ups.” Additionally, it involved neck-deep immersion in brine at −2.5°C for 5 minutes, combined with slowly pouring water at the same temperature over the head for 1.5 minutes, and finishing with full head submersion. This is just one day of the “Ice Fury” with the Wariacki Mors! 💪🧊😤 #iceman

Good habits early create a stable foundation later. - Staying consistent Regular training adds up over time. Taking one session out takes three sessions to get back to where you were. Discipline is a massive key to success in the sport. - Keep it fun! Enjoy swimming and the whole sport itself. It makes it way easier to stay committed. To Progress long term depends on staying engaged and motivated. - Recovery Use recovery to your advantage! Sleep, nutrition, Ice baths, saunas, massage/cupping, and rest days help your body feel better in training and racing. - Race experience Use racing as learning experiences. Take points from each one. Learning how pacing, race strategies, stroke rate, underwaters etc during your race. The more experience you get the more you will understand what ways work best for you. - Always listen to your body Whether you feel a little tight, some pain or sickness coming on. Listen to your body. It’s better to deal with it early and take a few days off rather than weeks or even months! • Listen and learn Coaches, teammates, and competitors all offer a different perspective. A little backstory: We went deep into the world of ice baths a while back—we even traveled to Spain to learn from the legend himself, @iceman_hof. But honestly? Our practice fizzled out because the “production” was just too much. Between the constant ice runs and the setup time, it became a chore. Now that we have this incredible machine and dedicated chiller, there are officially no more excuses. I am so ready to get back into the flow and even more excited to introduce the kids to the practice! Stay tuned as I share the journey. ❄️🙌 #ZionPhilippines

I am going try not to kill you Gary in debunking this nonsense since we have a mutual high-profile client, we both work with individually. But your statement here in this video is pseudoscience bullshit! Immersing your body in cold/ hot water in any capacity is not going to strip your bodyfat off your body faster than diet, cardio or weight-training. Gary I can’t believe you said that with a straight face. I know you sell Ice Baths but that statement is utterly irresponsible and 100% wrong. You got to do better bro and don’t put out that type of pseudoscience misinformation just to sell Ice Baths. This is what Gary Brecka said in this video. “There is nothing no amount of exercise that hits cardio. No type of cardiovascular or weight-training that comes anywhere close to immersing yourself in water. In terms of what will strip fat off your body fast.”
