YAThe way Invincible spent its entire budget on celebrity voice actors instead of putting that money into the animation will always be a cardinal sin. We are four seasons deep and still dealing with flat lighting and low frame rates that make iconic moments look like slideshows. While the voice acting from legends like J.K. Simmons and Steven Yeun is top tier and carries the emotional weight of the series the visual quality simply does not match the peak writing. When you look at what modern studios are doing with other high profile action series it makes Invincibles production look dated by comparison. Robert Kirkmans story is doing all the heavy lifting right now because the Viltrumite War deserves a cinematic level of animation that we just are not seeing. We need better shading and more fluid movement for the most brutal fights in comic history. The story is carrying the show on its back while the animation is lagging behind and it is time the visuals caught up to the script. #invincible #omniman #thragg #invincibleseason4 #imagecomics
