Those stolen chloroplasts can still produce energy from sunlight for a while, giving the slug an extra boost, but it still needs to eat to survive. The little “ears” on its head are rhinophores used to sense its environment, and the leaf-like bumps on its back help with camouflage while storing those chloroplasts.
