RAThe rescue story of Lykos 🤍🐾
We at Raincoast were working in a community we work closely with, when @the_dog_guy_ wandered over to a house where he had heard distressed barking. What he saw next, was shocking to say the least! This poor dog was so emaciated and chained up to a chemical shed, with no proper shelter. When he looked in his eyes and he looked into mine, he could feel that he was traumatized and terrified; just begging for someone to please help save him. The dog had dug out a small hole under the shed, to where he barely fit under. It was windy, cold, and raining so much, that he was just basically laying in a big puddle of cold water under the shed. We brought out a dog house and straw right away to ensure he had some dry shelter, fed him and got him water, while we started negations for his rescue. There was no way we were not rescuing this dog from this hell ASAP. While the negotiations went back and forth, we were given permission shortly after to remove the dog. After some convincing for him to feel safe and comfortable with us, we were able to get him into a crate for transport. This is the very moment when his new life of love and rehabilitation for Lykos began.
A big thanks to his wonderful and loving foster home for all they have done for Lykos!

NII always wanted to be the guy that I am.
It's true. In every area of my life and how it's unfolding it's what I've always wanted.
This isn't meant to sound cocky or that I have it all figured out or that I'm done chasing certain goals. There is still much work to be done. However, my life is truly built around what I love. And the lifestyle that I'm living is what I dreamed of as a kid.
From being a professional dancer & actor in LA, to becoming a surfer, to deepening my spirituality, to my morals, my friends, my partner, my dogs, @lykos.life, my home, my ambitions... it is all aligned with the vision of myself I've always had.
Life is so wild and weird and sometimes I forget. I forget how lucky I am when I'm stressed about what's next. I forget how far I've come when I compare myself to others. I forget how much love is in my life when I'm busy hating on myself.
But this morning I remembered. And it feels good. So hopefully this message can help you remember who you are and that you are exactly where you're supposed to be.

Class always has this way of being both empowering and humbling simultaneously. Felt real good to be in the studio learning from a friend who's musicality and movement are intelligent and nice on the body. However, like anything if we aren't practicing we'll always be just getting back to where we were. This combination has a lot of space and is time to be patient, so there were some areas I felt a bit shaky and some spots I could of finessed better. But hey that's why I'm in class.
Always a joy to be in a room full of inspiring people who push you to think and move differently.

NIExecution - to follow through on my creative impulses.
On NYE before our meal we chose a word to set an intention moving into 2026. For me, it was execution. To stop letting ideas rot inside, or allowing self doubt to get the best of me. Jump on the sparks that ignite me to see where they lead. Focus more on connection rather than perfection. Connection to myself and how I want to show up in the world.
Thank you everyone for all of the love & support for our growing family! It's the coolest wildest and scariest ride ever and I'm so lucky to experience it with @emcrouchie.

NIThe more understanding we seek then the more understanding will come.
A Wise man blessed me with some knowledge in the sauna tonight. How timely. Just what I needed to hear and to give me perspective. An 82 year old man saying the past three years were the best of his life is a testament to keep living and to continue seeking.
Man, what a cool moment. Also seeing these men light up to share was pretty cool as well.
I was caught off guard with him mentioned Ram Dass and bringing up meditation. Not what I thought I'd hear at the gym in Woodland Hills, but Ioved it so much!
All in all, keep on keeping on my friends it only gets better. As long as we continue to seek understanding and to integrate what we learn.

NIHow do we stay grounded in gratitude on the pursuit for what's next?
This is something I've been asking myself. I feel so freaking lucky everyday. Everyday I wake up I know I am lucky for so much, especially right now in the world. However still I'm longing to reach my next chapter and climb this next mountain. But I'm not going to lie, I often find myself complaining about what was once the thing I was working for, which then leads me to being hard on myself for this ungrateful attitude. Also, this energy affects everything I touch. So I am really working on this... trying to realize in every moment that I have all that I need and then some... and that this longing, this quest for what's next is just part of the game and not the definition of my situation.
I guess this is a daily practice, to always reflect on how amazing it is to have options, choice, freedom, health and love and that whatever does come next is not the answer to the inner liberation we seek. That true peace and fulfillment is realizing that right now is as good as it ever was and ever will be, because all that there is and all that matters is right now.

NIMontana here I come ✈️
Guys I can't believe it's happening... heading to Montana to train at @budokonuniversity of Mixed Movement Arts 🐺
This has been on my radar for a long time. I've looked up to the founder @cameronshayne from a distance for a while now & I am so inspired by what he has built. Him and his wife @themelayneshayne are two extraordinary movers who travel the world training the best to become better.
They have a full retreat center in Montana where I'll spend the next two weeks fully immersed in the Budokon experience. I'm participating in the 100 hour #Budokon yoga & mobility teacher training. However, we will also be training BJJ, calisthenics, doing sprints, hikes and all things movement. Along with deep discussions diving into how we think and relate to others and the world.
I truly know deep down that this is where I need to be... the way it came about is magic and is a story for another time. But I feel called to this training as if it's part of my purpose. I believe more than just movement but the introspection, the challenges, the discipline it will instill in me over the course of this retreat is what I really need right now as I am shifting and navigating my next steps forward.
May not be as active on here and plan to use this time as a digital detox. Not too worry, I'll be documenting as much as I can and look forward to sharing this experience with you all

NIWhat is LYKOS?
If you're new here you may see me posting about @lykos.life quite often. So let me fill you in...
A few years back I stopped buying new clothes and began modifying everything I owned. This got the idea brewing to one day start my own line in the most sustainable way possible. I didn't jump right at the idea, I first went through a phase of painting some pieces I modified as sort of an art passion project. This led me to then, in 2018 take a flight to visit my design mentor @jonshimoni in Toronto to learn the ropes, see what I'm in for and to get my patterns made. This took some time and as always some life happened which put this idea on the back burner. However, finally when 2020 hit I decided to go full steam ahead with my vision. I found a factory, built a relationship and got to work. We opened for business October of 2020 and we are still here excited and ready for our next chapter. And that is how Lykos was born.
Currently we're working on expanding Lykos to fully embody the lifestyle we believe in. New products, new ideas, events & more! Stay tuned!

As a lifelong student of movement I am now working to create my own system to share what I know. Funneling all of the wisdom I've tried to gather over the years through my own lens. Not attempting to re-invent the wheel more so give insight to my holistic approach to movement, mindset and overall wellness.
I feel very fortunate for the amazing teachers I've learned from, experiences I've had and great projects I have been lucky enough to be a part of. Now I feel it is time to take all of this as fuel to create something of my own. To share and express in a way that feels aligned to me. This is what I call "The Lykos Way".
