THOur next stop is to @themillinery in Keansburg, NJ! I was lucky enough to make a custom cowboy hat with the one and only Carly, the owner of this incredible business, and one of the only milliners in our state! Hat making is one of the oldest traditions in the world, and Carly has been taught by some of the very best.
She created this beautiful millinery workshop right in her backyard where she creates the most beautiful and unique hats I’ve ever seen. She measures your head for the perfect fit, and has a full traditional process of shaping and molding the highest quality materials into your vision. She then can add branding, ribbons, and other accessories to make it really feel like you. She even encourages adding special pieces like family heirlooms, such as pins, brooches, or really anything that makes the piece meaningful.
I told Carly to take creative freedom on mine, and she could not have done a better job. The color & size of the hat was perfect for my features, and the added details of the stunning floral brooch and pastel ribbons was so me I couldn’t believe it. She is so knowledgeable of this craft, and you will not find anything else like this in our state! 💌
