🧝🏻‍♂️📄 CÓMO hacer FICHAS DE PERSONAJE para TU MANGA o COMIC 🦸 ✨️🧚🏼‍♀️A estas fichas de personajes suelen llamarlas de esta manera o también "model sheet" y son utilizadas en todos los ámbitos artísticos como el manga, cómic, animación, etc. 🫡Son fundamentales para tener una referencia a la mano al momento de tener que dibujar al personaje una y otra vez en cada instancia del proyecto. 🤓Es recomendable tomarse el tiempo (aunque de pereza) de hacer la ficha del personaje con todos los detalles antes de tener que andar quemándote la cabeza después imaginando a cada rato como se ve el cabello de tu personaje visto desde atrás, por ejemplo. 🧝🏻‍♂️¿Utilizás fichas de personaje en tus proyectos? ¿Vas a comenzar a utilizarlas a partir de ahora? How long it really takes when studying classic cartoon characters. Drawing my favourite version of Bugs Bunny. You have to draw Bugs Bunny very carefully! One slip and it looks like a bad DVD cover. This is a study of the refined Robert McKimson Bugs Bunny design from 1943. From Michael Barrier’s blog: “On [the 1943] model sheet, Bugs’s cheeks were broader, his chin stronger, his teeth a little more prominent, his eyes larger and slanted a little outward instead of in. The most expressive element of the rabbit’s face had all been strengthened and drawn much more precisely than in the 1942 sheet, but because the triangular shape of Bugs’s head had been subtly accentuated, Bugs was, if anything, futher removed from cuteness than ever before. McKimson’s model sheet must be given some of the credit for the marked improvement in Bugs’s looks in all the directors’ cartoons starting in 1943. Not that everyone drew Bugs to match the model sheet, but the awkwardness and uncertainy of the early forties were gone; it was if everyone had suddenly figured out what Bugs really looked like.”

Challenged myself to tie down an existing character for this exercise. It’s a little easier to animate using a model sheet bc some of the answers for how to draw a pose are there, but it also presents unique problems when animating according to a character design (eg. her large feet forced me to consider step size and leg length and therefore I had to adjust the animation). I also used reference and filmed myself for the jumping, which helped a ton.
