KOWhat would you do in this situation?
Sometimes I think "what if I got off of her when I saw the dog?", "maybe I should catch that dog and got bit instead?"
In the end we did our best, but that's not a happy ending.
It were not our first meeting with off-leash dog. The thing is...this one was different.
When I jump off of her I saw her galloping over that dog and it doesn't let her go regardless. Why? Normal dog would stop chasing her in that situation.
Was the dog taken away from the owner?
No.
Were other of his dogs taken away?
No.
This place is often attended also by kids, other dogs and horses.
And my application for a court hearing was canceled becouse...I jumped off. Maybe if I would got hurt someone would do someting with it.

MYi’m sick of people ruining dogs that are not their own. use your brains.
and on a personal note, this is why i do not care what breed a dog is that is trying to greet my dog. this golden retriever just flipped my dog head over heels dragging him to the ground. i trust no dog. i do not care whether it’s your “harmless” golden or a bully mix. your dog that i do not know is not welcome in our personal space.

THDogs are social animals, but should a dog go to a dog park to socialize? I’m on the fence about this one. So many dogs live lonely lives, home alone most of the day and not given the opportunity to socialize or play. A good dog park can help them develop healthy behaviors around other animals, by allowing for free off leash play and interaction. Regular interaction with other dogs can reduce anxiety, fear, and aggression if it’s a productive safe environment. Social play also provides mental stimulation and keeps dogs emotionally balanced. Being around different breeds and personalities teaches dogs how to communicate and respond appropriately. Overall, dog parks can give them a safe, structured environment to build confidence and enjoy companionship if the park is filled with sociable, appropriate and well balanced dogs. The problem is anyone can go to them, and people do bring problematic and aggressive animals. This is why I would only go in specific communities or places. ADIt’s wild to me that this kid was off leash, no recall, no e-collar.
But in all seriousness… guys never let your child approaches dogs you don’t know. Even with dogs you do know, you should approach it with structure, supervision and caution.
Too many dogs get put down because parents don’t know how to teach their kids boundaries.
This was a failure on the part of the parents here. Luckily my dogs are trained 🤌🏻

MAIt doesn’t means if your dog is small and nothing will happen. In our country there are a lot of irresponsible dog owners which is always lettin their dogs offleash like this.
I can let her walk 5ft away or 7ft away which is I CAN.

Do not let dogs offleash if they sre not trained and having problems. In public areas it is not okay.
I let bless offleash but with on the leash. And for playing - training which is in a SAFE ZONE. We don’t have a car so our sureoundings are LIMITED.
