✅ How to tilt in your pole invert: This one feels the hardest because you not only need to engage pretty much your whole body, but also know when to do what. Plus, getting upside down can be scary! It's a mix of: 1️⃣ Looking back with your head to initiate the movement and know where you want to go. 2️⃣ Fully tucking your pelvis so your knees are as close to your body as possible. 3️⃣ Keeping your lats (and rest of the arms & upper body) engaged. 4️⃣ Slowly straightening your arms while your hips lift up. There are some great movements to practise this on the floor with or without the pole. 🙌🏻 You can get the most effective exercise + a technique breakdown of everything in my invert training plan 😉💃🏻. So basically: engage everything 😅 In all seriousness though, the two key aspects of shouldermounts are upper body pulling strength and core strength (aand hip flexors, aand legs). So really think about basically wanting to rip out the pole and tucking your pelvis while lifting your knees towards your chest/shoulders. This tuck while engaging everything will help you get up, and eventually pulling yourself over ➡️ getting the hips over the head.
