Bubba Wallace was dominating the Cook Out 400 at Richmond, leading 123 laps and winning Stage 2.
During a green-flag pit stop, his left front wheel came off due to a freak lug nut mishap.
The wheel detached mid-pit lane, ending his strong run and dropping him down the order.
Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 19 pit crew noticed the loose wheel and quickly helped reattach it.
Despite the assist, Wallace finished 31st, though his earlier performance secured his playoff spot.
