DA🤔 Is React Native a 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 in 2024?
Well, it’s definitely still used and in demand ... I mean, not that any app requires specifically React Native 😄 Anything you can do in React Native you can also do even better on native iOS & Android.
However, React Native has lots of 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀:
- reusing your JavaScript and Web knowledge to build mobile apps
- having 2 apps from 1 codebase
- native-like UI rendered on each OS
- there’s a big collection of libraries and tools
🚀 So, it can 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 (and costs) of building a mobile app, not only in a company, but also for your own apps.
Even though there are popular 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 like:
- Flutter
- Kotlin Multiplatform
- .NET MAUI
it seems like React Native is 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆, especially with Expo (and I’m saying this as a fan of native and Flutter 😄)
