Auto switching on the Rodecaster Video is a very interesting feature. I’ve seen a couple of YouTubers demo auto switching but I haven’t seen any do a real test. It works pretty well but only if you link 1 camera to 1 mic. I tried to configure it to go to the wide angle but only if both mics are at the same audio level. Even when it’s set to a lower priority than the individual angles it appears to go to it just as much. That’s why I don’t even bother to configure it to go to the wide. I don’t see it replacing an actual engineer but it will make the job easier if you configure it properly. If you have questions about this new device ask in the comments.
