Archaeological discoveries of lithophones span Asia, Africa, and Europe, with some dating back several millennia. Ancient cultures believed stone vibrations carried spiritual significance, using sound in religious ceremonies, communal gatherings, and sacred events long before written music or modern instruments existed.
