Composting 🪱🪱🪱 I’m not really sure why I’ve put this off for so long, but this year is the year I’m giving it a good go! I want to be as sustainable and self sufficient as possible and composting is the next thing I need to tick off on my list! I cannot stress how important the soil quality is. It’s actually something I’m quite passionate about (I never thought I’d say that 😂) but honestly, you’re wasting your time sowing or planting into rubbish soil. The compost in here was fine, not amazing, but fine and will continue to break down in the beds. I did add another layer of bought compost on top just to ensure good quality as I didn’t know what had been added to this. Tipping it up and starting again felt like the right thing to do! We live in such a crazy world where this makes more sense to me than relying on any grocery store. If anything I hope to inspire others to really understand where your food comes from and how important it is to become self sufficient and self aware. We’re nowhere near pros… yet!
