HOYour kids want Mac and cheese, but you don’t use boxed Mac and cheese…also you only have 15-20 mins to make it.
This is one of those throw together last minute, let’s see if we can make it happen recipes. So we’re just measuring with our heart here. (I made enough for 2 small kid servings)
Ingredients
Pasta
Bone broth
Butter
Milk or heavy cream
Shredded cheese, sliced cheese works too if that’s all you have
Salt and pepper
Cook your pasta of choice in bone broth, I usually pour enough bone broth in to just submerge the pasta and then like a splash more.
Add a slab of butter, how much you add depends on how much pasta you’re making.
Pinch of salt, and pepper
Let simmer until pasta is soft, there should still be some liquid left in the pot.(if there’s not just add more)
Keeping the heat on medium, add a splash of milk or heavy cream(again how much you add depends on how big of a pot you’re making)
Add cheese of your choice, I used cheddar and mozzarella bc that’s what I had.
Stir in the cheese until it’s all melted.
And let simmer until the liquid reduces a little bit, and it begins to thicken.

STEasy Mac & Cheese - kid & family approved
• 1 lb elbow pasta (or pasta of your choice)
• 16 oz sour cream
• 16 oz cottage cheese
Preheat oven to 400 F. Cook your pasta per instructions. Once pasta is finished, drain and add to baking dish. Mix in cottage cheese, sour cream, salt & pepper to taste. Bake for 45 ish mins or until top gets brown and crispy! Also can broil it at the end too for even better crisp 😉

EM✨ Quick & Easy Instant Pot mac & cheese made with real ingredients 🧀💛
Creamy, simple, and perfect for busy nights when you need something everyone will love 🙌
Ingredients
16 oz pasta (elbows, bow tie, shells, cavatappi)
4 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp mustard powder
3 tbsp butter
4 cups shredded cheese
1.5 cups milk
Instructions
1. Add pasta, water, salt, pepper, mustard powder, and butter to Instant Pot.
2. Close the Instant Pot lid and set it to high pressure for 4 minutes.
3. Once the timer is done, perform a quick release by carefully turning the pressure valve to vent. Open the lid carefully.
4. Pour in 4 cups of cheese (I usually use a combo of “mac & cheese blend”, cheddar and Asiago/Parmesan), and 1.5 cups of milk.
5. Stir well and enjoy right away!

Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup dry pasta, such as elbow noodles
* 1/2 cup water
* Pinch of salt
* 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (you can use more or less, depending on how much cheese you like)
* 1 tablespoon milk, any kind (I used 2%)
*Seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, etc.
Instructions:
1. In a 16-ounce microwaveable mug or bowl, add the pasta, water, salt, and stir to combine. (The water will boil up and most likely over, so it is important to use a large mug or boil. I like to place the mug in a larger bowl so that it will catch the water when it boils over. Just let it continue to overflow, as it will cook the noodles, but be sure that not all the water evaporates before the noodles are cooked).
2. Microwave for 2 minutes, then remove and stir. Place back into the microwave and heat for another 2 minutes, then remove and stir. If the noodles aren’t softened to al dente, continue to microwave in 2 minute intervals, or until noodles are softened and cooked through. You may need to add more water if it is absorbed before the noodles are softened.
3. Once the noodles are ready, stir in the shredded cheese, milk, and seasonings. Microwave for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the cheese is melted. Enjoy immediately.
*Feel free to add seasonings, such as garlic powder, smoked paprika, etc for more flavor *
*I shredded a block of cheese for this recipe, as it melts (and tastes better) than the bagged kind, but either will work.*
