Three Spitfires and a Hurricane will take off from Lee on the Solent and fly in formation along the south coast to the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone for 1100hrs.

CO🚨 update: so a few things have gone wrong today… yet staying positive! Also disclaimer** there is a lot of sailing lingo and terms let me explain:
Jib top: just forward of the solent normally (we normally don’t have one onboard but now we have turned the trinquette into one because the trinquette lock isn’t holding the sail up anymore)*
Solent: bigger jib (forward sail)
Trinquette: smaller jib (just behind Solent)
Storm jib: smallest jib (typically orange)
*locks are used on most racing boats to help take the load off the top of the mast, we only have one lock however and it decided it didn’t want to hold the sail anymore :( yet we were able to save the sail (the trinquette)which tried to fly overboard! The Solent, I noticed, has some tears along the luff of the sail and could potential get worse so we don’t want to use it if we can avoid it!
Also the hydro generator: which charges our batteries decided to stop working, I think the oil from inside of it is gone and we need to take it apart and add more oil (I did this during my around the world race and it wasn’t a fun job) YET it’s sunny today so solar is helping!
Got my first full body shower in a month which was lovely!! 🥰 🚿
