In my opinion a Steam Deck is worth it for you if you ✨ Prefer buying games on steam as they come out faster than on consoles & prices are better (most important 😮‍💨) ✨ Need portable gaming because you would rather be on the couch or bed ✨ Don’t have a PC or don’t wanna use a PC for gaming sometimes but want Steam games ✨ Wanna play games on the PC and then continue on the Steam Deck later and vice versa (requires cloud syncing which most games support but some don’t) ✨ Want a more powerful gaming console with better performance than the outdated Nintendo Switch 👀 It’s not for you if ✨ You have small hands and/or cannot hold a large, heavy device for long ✨ You are more used to perfectly ported games (some steam deck compatible games still won’t launch until I toggle the “compatibility” option) ✨ You do not like figuring out configurations & customizations for the system to suit your own needs (steam deck vs. nintendo switch systems are like Android vs. iOS lol) ✨ Cannot tolerate noise and heat when the console operates (the fans are pretty loud and the machine can get very heated during hot weather just like your PC does) ✨ Don’t want to be an early adapter yet and want to wait and see how the next gen Steam Deck will be (it is not announced but the Steam Deck is from Feb, 2022) I also got a Steam Deck dock from Amazon (much cheaper than the official dock) and it connects to my TV perfectly, plus I use a 2.4g wireless controller (with dongle in dock) so that I have low latency, and it works like a charm! Can’t wait to play some couch co-op games with this setup later. 🌱 Do you own a steam deck? Or are you interested in ever owning one and why?
