LUStreet commercial shoot with ARRI Trinity — 4 tracking shots, one scene, zero traffic.
Early morning Shanghai. We had one window before the streets filled up. The scene was simple — actress walks to her car and gets in. But we covered it 4 different ways: tracking forward, low mode behind her feet, close up through the windshield, wide orbit around the car.
Each take had to be smooth, repeatable and precise. No room for mistakes when the clock is running.
We also experimented shooting at 12fps — giving the movement a slightly different feel. Some of you noticed. Good eye.
That's what I enjoy about this work — same scene, completely different story depending on where you put the camera.
