_OPeople in Lagos are mostly associated with work, work, and more work, so I decided to meet up with a friend who is an athlete (archery), @iamoyin_. Somehow, she still finds time for other side quests like running and, on this occasion, swimming.
We visited the pool located at the National Stadium, Surulere. It turns out a lot of parents are training their kids to be strong swimmers. The pool is a standard 50-meter Olympic size, but it could use a little more maintenance.
There were quite a few adults in the pool as well, though they seemed more like leisure swimmers—mostly ladies who just want to be able to float when they travel abroad and look good at holiday destinations.
With as little as N2000 you can access the pool which is quite affordable they’re also swim instructors around so it’s quite safe for even beginners
