You are super busy and work best when your training is given to you each day without having to make those decisions on your own. You also want someone to work around your busy schedule so you can get the most out of your training time. 4. You want a smart plan that helps avoid injury and a person creating that plan who can also tailor the plan when life throws curve balls OR you’re running better than expected. 5. If you coach enough athletes, you eventually learn that most of the experiences they think are unique to them are actually universal. Everyone has bad runs. Everyone has days where their stomach hurts, their legs feel flat, or nothing clicks. The beauty is that everyone also has the inverse too. The runs where everything lines up and you feel unstoppable. As athletes, it’s natural to feel like our struggles are personal or exceptional. That sense of importance can even fuel the commitment we bring to training. But recognizing that these ups and downs happen to everyone can be grounding. #marathontraining #marathon #runner #running #runningcoach
