All the GPA/Test Scores reflect the mid-50% for students admitted to the Class of 2029.
They also enroll for Summer 2025 & have slightly lower GPA/Test scores for that start
🌴 Here’s what you need to know about applying to FSU, UCF, UF, USF
🎓 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
They ALL accept Common App
They ALL require standardized testing: SAT, ACT or CLT
They ALL require self-reported grades instead of a transcript
They ALL recalculate your core academic GPA weighted giving weight to Honors, Pre-IB, Pre-AP, Pre-AICE, AP, IB, DE, AICE(+5 or 1 pt)
The Academic Core GPA includes the 5 five main academic subjects: math, science, English, history and world language. And includes any course taken in (pre) + AP, IB, DE, AICE.
USF, FSU & UF use STARS self-reporting transcript system.
UCF uses their own, called SPARK.
None accept recommendation letters.
✏️ ESSAYS:
UF & FSU - Essay required. UF has additional short-answer essay.
UCF: Essay optional, 2 short answers required
USF: Will not read essays

💰 TUITION
All four colleges just voted to increase out-of-state tuition by 10%. Florida universities are required by law to limit the number of OOS students enrolled, even with the increasing price that non-Floridians will pay.
Next year, institutions may vote to increase OOS tuition by 15%.
OOS tuition has not increased since 2012. In-state since 2013.
