PLHave you ever bought a Venus flytrap plant and killed it?
Here’s how to take care of it.
Light:
Full sun to partial sun depending on where you live, like if you live in temperate weather then full sun is okay. These plants can withstand temperatures up to 95 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit but of course keep an eye out on them as if kept without water they can die or scorch from too strong sunlight.
Water:
They grow in bog like conditions therefore keeping them sitting on distilled water all the time during their growing season is most ideal.
Reverse osmosis, distilled, or rain water only. Since it’s low in TDS levels. If you use tap water they will die.
Soil:
Most expert growers recommend using 1 part perlite to 4 parts peat moss. Or 1 part perlite to 1 part horticultural sand.
Fertilizer:
If kept outdoors you don’t have to worry about fertilizing it as it will catch some bugs.
But you can also feed it certain bugs or use a well balanced fertilizer like the MaxSea fertilizer sold at California Carnivores website.
