KR💾 How to Shrink a Drive & Create a New Partition on Windows | Easy Disk Management Tutorial
Want to create a new partition from your existing drive? In this short tutorial, I’ll show you how to shrink a volume and create a new partition using the built-in Windows Disk Management tool — no software needed!
🛠️ Steps:
Right-click on "This PC" and select "Manage"
In the Computer Management window, open Disk Management
Right-click the drive you want to shrink and select "Shrink Volume"
Enter the amount of space you want to shrink and click "Shrink"
You’ll see a new Unallocated space area
Right-click the unallocated space and choose "New Simple Volume"
Click Next → Next → Next → Finish
✅ Done! You’ve successfully created a new partition on your hard drive.
