PSRobert Plant Introduces Led Zeppelin to the World

In March 1969, Danish TV captured a young band on the verge of becoming legend.
Performing “How Many More Times” live on Danmarks Radio, Led Zeppelin had been together for barely six months, but they were already a force of nature.
Introduced with swagger by a 20-year-old Robert Plant, the band was fresh from the ashes of The Yardbirds. After that group dissolved in mid-’68, Jimmy Page reconstructed it from the ground up and renamed the band Led Zeppelin.
Page, already an in-demand session guitarist, didn’t wait for a label to shape the sound. He financed and produced ‘Led Zeppelin I’ himself, recording it in just 30 hours.
The finished album was then shopped to Atlantic Records as a fully realized vision: innovative, thunderous, and untamed.
That control meant Zeppelin arrived not as a band in progress, but as a complete artistic statement—steeped in blues, drenched in distortion, and erupting with mythic energy.
Watch this moment: Plant in full lion’s mane glory, John Paul Jones stoic and exacting, Bonham already a storm behind the kit, and Page, grinning beneath a curtain of hair, coaxing fire from his Telecaster.
The world didn’t know it yet, but Led Zeppelin wasn’t arriving—they had already arrived.

LOTHE HOURS, THEY BRING ME PAIN - Led Zeppelin perform “Tangerine” live at Earl’s Court (1975). The song “Tangerine” dates back to the days when Jimmy Page was the guitarist of the New Yardbirds. In 1968, the band recorded the song as an early version, with the name ‘Knowing That I’m Losing You’. Following that, after being recorded in 1970, ‘Tangerine’ appeared on Led Zeppelin’s several concerts and has been covered by various musicians. The song is known to be the last song written by Page without lyrics by Robert Plant and the only Jimmy Page song which Robert Plant does not receive the credit of songwriting in the album Led Zeppelin III.
The song is about the heartbreak and regret caused by a lost relationship, telling the story of a man who is longing for his long-lost summer queen. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the young men out there dealing with situations like this. Stay strong and god bless you. Enjoy

JO“Tangerine” is a folk rock song by Led Zeppelin. Recorded in 1970, it is included on the second, more acoustic-oriented side of Led Zeppelin III (1970). The plaintive ballad reflects on lost love and features strummed acoustic guitar rhythm with pedal steel guitar.The Yardbirds, with Jimmy Page, recorded an early version of the song in 1968, titled “Knowing That I’m Losing You”. When it was released on the Page-produced 2017 album Yardbirds ‘68, Keith Relf’s vocal was left out. “Tangerine” has been performed in concert by Led Zeppelin at different points in their career and has been recorded by other musicians.
